SAFETY / HEALTH
It is the policy of RIMAN SHIPPING NIG. LTD., to practice and offer services in accordance with the IMO Convention of Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) to eliminate hazardous condition found at sea, by enforcing the correct use of tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) work equipment suitable to guarantee the safety of all employees. We ensure that our seafarers undergo thorough medical examination in a government approved - reputable hospital in other to certify their sea worthiness in a bid to satisfy our esteemed clients. With a view to promote to safety standard on board vessels, we ensure that qualified seafarers with international maritime organization (IMO) (STCW) 95 Mandatory certificates are engaged on board vessels.

SECURITY POLICY
The protection of the human, material and other resources used in our daily operations shall continue to be given priority attention. The company shall employ the services of full time (day and night) energetic and trained men for surveillance purpose in all our sites and in transit. The services of relevant governmental armed security agents shall be used to protect company’s personnel, property and other persons in and out of the company’s work area. Personnel and materials in transits shall also be provided with maximum protection, escort shall be provided for designated journeys. Corporate security emergency plans and procedures shall be strictly adhered to at all times. Every worker shall participate fully in all drills and activities aimed at developing and sustaining high security consciousness. The company shall comply with relevant government and client rules and procedures on security issues.

DRUGS AND ALCOHOL POLICY
RIMAN SHIPPING NIG. LTD., is aware of the hazardous health implications of drugs and alcohol and shall continue to discourage the consumption and abuse of drugs and alcoholic beverages by all workers. It is the policy of the company that drugs should not be taken without medical advise. Relevant awareness programmes on the dangers of drugs and alcohol shall be launched and sustained from time to time, and participation by workers shall be compulsory. The company shall comply with necessary client and government regulations on drugs and alcohol.

We confirm ability to provide services to the required quality by maintaining an effective documented quality control system based on (ISO) 9001 and workman compensation policy.

As one of the prerequisite of the Joint Maritime Labour Industrial Council (JOAMLIC), RIMAN SHIPPING NIG. LTD. has a befitting medical retainership with Riverside Clinic Port Harcourt in case of an emergency or industrial accident at sea or any of operating centers.
